· Accept your decision
Right after the first week, you will get good and bad feedback regarding your unshaven look. If you really want a beard, you will keep yourself motivated with the reason to continue growing it.
· Maintain it
Just like the hair on your head, a growing beard will need a wash. You will have to wash it with a suitable shampoo at least twice a week. Also, the quality and length of your beard growth depend on your genes.
· Trim it
You don’t want a beard that looks ugly. Use a trimmer to give your beard a shape that suits your face. You have to start trimming from the neckline and work your way upwards. Remove the hard lines while outlining.
· Don’t stop shaving
To get even growth, shave regularly. Try to notice the even stubble on your upper lips and at the tip of your chin. Then, continue to grow your beard.
· Do not scratch
No matter how itchy it gets, avoid scratching your beard. Apply a beard moisturizer or oil for help with the itching.
· Hanging hair
You should not leave your beard hair hanging from your upper lip. Use a moisturizer or hair gel to set it properly.
